Ottawa Valley Islamic Center (OVIC) Mosque Construction Funding

Help build and renovate Mosque in beautiful Deep River, Ontario. "Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise." The Ottawa Valley Islamic Centre (OVIC  www.ovicentre.org ) is a small Mosque that’s in the north east, 5 hours from Toronto. It’s the only masjid within a 200 km radius. We are raising $120,000 to fund critical renovations, including a new heating system, roof repairs, insulation, and expanded washrooms. OVIC plays a central role for over 50 Muslim families and travellers along HWY 17, providing daily prayers, Quran classes, and community events. Established in 2010, the centre is deeply involved in local dawah work, and the sponsorship of Syrian refugee families. OVIC is a registered charity and can issue tax receipts for donations, ensuring ongoing support for daily salat, Ramadan taraweeh and events and dawah work attracting many curious people about Islam. Alhamdulillah after 3 years of planning and 8 months of continuous fundraising for our Mosque renovations we are pleased to inform you that the work began as of Monday Alhamdillah. We need your cooperation and support in this crucial time.   The operating costs itself for the masjid is approximately $18,000-$20,000 per year. Plus the total renovation costs quoted by our contractor is approximately $260,000. Alhamdulillah we have raised $140,000 so far.  Therefore we are still in need of $120,000 to be able to pay our contractors up to completion. We have been busy with fundraising at various events outside our area and especially in Toronto.  JazakAllah khayran for your support and efforts and we pray for a successful outcome of our masjid InshaAllah.
